
Tanya Hasman
Executive Director
Tanya Hasman is the executive director of Solstice at Palatine. She first came to Solstice in 2018 as the Business Office director. Tanya enjoys connecting with residents on a daily basis and loves to take part in the many vibrant events and activities in the community. The best part of her job is being able to bring her residents and staff together.
She grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and has been working in various aspects of health care since 2003. She is fluent in three languages and enjoys reading, learning about different cultures and history. At home, she loves spending time with her three children, husband and the rest of her family.

Igael Hamburg
Director of Sales and Marketing
Igael Hamburg is the director of Sales and Marketing at Solstice at Palatine. He brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience across a variety of industries, including finance, health care and fitness. He earned his bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in international business from DePaul University.
Outside of work, Igael likes to volunteer and currently serves on the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County board of directors. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, fitness and outdoor activities.

Domenica "Dee" Turner Johnson
Vibrant Life® Director
Dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults for over three decades, Dee Turner Johnson brings a wealth of experience in long-term care, assisted living, memory care and independent living. Her journey in the senior care industry began as an activity assistant in a skilled nursing facility, where she quickly discovered her passion for working with older adults.
Throughout her career, she has held various key positions, including Activity Director, Memory Care Director, Resident Services, Assistant Nursing Home Administrator and Social Services. Her multifaceted roles have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of individuals across different care settings. In her role as a Vibrant Life®️ Director, she approaches program planning with a holistic perspective, incorporating emotional, intellectual, cognitive, physical, social and spiritual dimensions. This approach ensures a well-rounded and meaningful array of events for the residents of our community.

Juan Perez
Culinary Services Director
Juan Perez grew up in Chicago near the La Villita neighborhood and has over 26 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industries. After obtaining his degree in culinary arts from the Art Institute of Chicago, he started his career as a vegetable prep cook, before working his way up to sous-chef at the nationally recognized Beatrix Market in downtown Chicago.
Though relatively new to the senior living field, Juan has a passion for making a difference through food and hospitality. In his spare time, Juan enjoys fishing, hiking and watching movies with his wife and three daughters. He also loves cheering on his favorite teams, the Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers.

Kyle Mitchell
Business Office Director
Kyle Mitchell’s personal philosophy is to impact someone’s life every single day, which is why he chose the senior living industry, along with his strong background in administrative and sales support.
Kyle grew up in Tulsa, Okla., where he attended Oklahoma State University for hospitality management following his passion for helping others.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys anything sports-related, hanging out with his wife, and taking his Sheltie, Stormy, for a walk around the neighborhood.
