Teri Schultz is the executive director of Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Prior to joining the team, Teri dedicated 25 years to caring for older adults. She has worked as a licensed nursing home administrator, as well as in nutritional services, providing assessments and therapeutic interventions in both acute and long-term care communities. As a leader of the community, she expects herself and her team to work hard while having fun. She strives to provide excellent services to improve the quality of life for the residents.
Teri is a married mother of three and in her spare time enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to creating many wonderful memories with the Solstice family.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Kelly Raske is the director of Sales and Marketing for Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Kelly has over 11 years of experience working in senior living, assisted living, independent living and memory care. She enjoys helping seniors and their families make decisions that will enrich their lives.
Kelly has won numerous senior care awards from SeniorAdvisor.com and Best of the Fox. She was a member of the McHenry County Task Force on Aging, a member of the Continuity of Care for Lake and McHenry counties, and was also the president of the McHenry County Senior Advisory.
Kelly has been married for 25 years and has three kids. She enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. Her hobbies include crafting, reading, going to movies, and seeing stage plays and musicals. Kelly believes that honoring community seniors is a privilege, and she is proud to help Solstice shine and care for its seniors.
Vibrant Life® Director
With 20 years of experience, Vicky Knoll, A.C., CDP, joined Solstice Senior Living at Palatine in 2019. Her passion is working with the senior population while creating fun, energetic and educational programs.
Vicky has certifications in national dementia care, chair chi and ageless grace. She has been a speaker and instructor for the Illinois Activity Professional Association and the Chicago Activity Professional Association, and chair of the Fundraising and Event Committee at her church.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, church outings and snuggling with her dog, Sassy. Her hobbies include, sewing, painting, crafting and horseback riding.
Business Office Director
Tanya Hasman has been with Solstice since October 2018. In 2019, Tanya was promoted to senior Business Office director, which allows her the exciting opportunity to interact with more Solstice communities nationwide. She is responsible for the daily financial operations of the community. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is being able to recruit the most talented and kind-hearted individuals to work for Solstice Senior Living at Palatine.
Tanya has been working in the health care industry since 2003 in various settings, such as nursing homes, rehabilitation and therapy clinics, as well as in the field of chiropractic and integrative medicine. She has a degree in traditional Chinese medicine as well as nutrition. She is also dually licensed in massage and acupuncture therapy. Tanya has always enjoyed working with seniors and is incredibly grateful to be able to do what she loves every day.
In her leisure, she enjoys reading, learning about different cultures, history and languages. At home, she loves spending time with her three children, husband and the rest of her family.
Culinary Services Director
Stephen Scott is the Culinary Services director for Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Born in Illinois, Stephen has lived in Chicago, Des Plaines, Dallas and Vail and now resides in Huntley. He attended Kendall College in Evanston, where he graduated with an AAS degree in culinary arts with a certificate in business. Stephen has been in the culinary industry for 24 years and has experienced many aspects of the industry. He has been a sous chef for the Hotel Nikko and two catering companies, as well as a chef for an Italian steakhouse in Arlington Heights.
Stephen has one son, who is 16 years old. He attends Huntley High School as a sophomore and plays lacrosse and football. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys kayaking and reading. He has coached lacrosse and youth football for nine years. He is also a Type 1 diabetic and had a kidney transplant eight years ago.
Building Services Director
Elias Flores is the Building Services director for Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Elias joined the team 13 years ago when he was still in high school. He started as a dishwasher/prep cook on the weekends, and then moved into housekeeping and serving full time. He helped anywhere he was needed, including driving the bus, moving and maintenance. He slowly started learning about maintenance and, in time, was promoted as a head housekeeper for nine years. Elias really liked doing maintenance and helping in maintenance as much as he could. He decided to take a chance when there was an opening for Building Services director.
