Tanya Hasman is the executive director of Solstice at Palatine. She first came to Solstice in 2018 as the Business Office director. Tanya enjoys connecting with residents on a daily basis and loves to take part in the many vibrant events and activities in the community. The best part of her job is being able to bring her residents and staff together.
She grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and has been working in various aspects of health care since 2003. She is fluent in three languages and enjoys reading, learning about different cultures and history. At home, she loves spending time with her three children, husband and the rest of her family.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Igael Hamburg is the director of Sales and Marketing at Solstice at Palatine. He brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience across a variety of industries, including finance, health care and fitness. He earned his bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in international business from DePaul University.
Outside of work, Igael likes to volunteer and currently serves on the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County board of directors. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, fitness and outdoor activities.
Business Office Director
Kyle Mitchell’s personal philosophy is to impact someone’s life every single day, which is why he chose the senior living industry, along with his strong background in administrative and sales support.
Kyle grew up in Tulsa, Okla., where he attended Oklahoma State University for hospitality management following his passion for helping others.
In his spare time, Kyle enjoys anything sports-related, hanging out with his wife, and taking his Sheltie, Stormy, for a walk around the neighborhood.
Culinary Services Director
Juan Perez grew up in Chicago near the La Villita neighborhood and has over 26 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industries. After obtaining his degree in culinary arts from the Art Institute of Chicago, he started his career as a vegetable prep cook, before working his way up to sous-chef at the nationally recognized Beatrix Market in downtown Chicago.
Though relatively new to the senior living field, Juan has a passion for making a difference through food and hospitality. In his spare time, Juan enjoys fishing, hiking and watching movies with his wife and three daughters. He also loves cheering on his favorite teams, the Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers.
Vibrant Life® Director
Marianne Broms joined the Solstice at Palatine team as concierge in August 2022. When the Vibrant Life® director position became available, Marianne jumped at the opportunity to assist residents in a new way. She now enjoys helping residents live their best lives at Solstice.
Prior to working in senior living, Marianne was a fourth and fifth grade teacher. She retired from teaching with the goal of using her skills and experience to enrich the lives of seniors. When not at work, Marianne enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, reading historical fiction, and solving a variety of puzzles.
Zhivko “Jeff” Panov
Building Services Director
Zhivko “Jeff” Panov, our Building Services director, has a passion for fixing and upgrading building systems. Jeff has extensive experience in electrical systems, plumbing and general maintenance. He always strives to learn new things and enjoys helping our residents with their daily maintenance needs.
In Jeff’s free time, he loves biking with his family in Busse Woods and spending time outside in nature.
Building Services Director
Elias Flores is the Building Services director for Solstice Senior Living at Palatine. Elias joined the team 13 years ago when he was still in high school. He started as a dishwasher/prep cook on the weekends, and then moved into housekeeping and serving full time. He helped anywhere he was needed, including driving the bus, moving and maintenance. He slowly started learning about maintenance and, in time, was promoted as a head housekeeper for nine years. Elias really liked doing maintenance and helping in maintenance as much as he could. He decided to take a chance when there was an opening for Building Services director.
